On this day in the Friday the 13th timeline, Tommy Jarvis is released from an institution and returns to the town formally known as Crystal Lake to dig up Jason Voorhees and cremate him. Upon seeing the body of the machete wielding maniac, Tommy loses control and stabs Jason with a fence post out of anger, ultimately bringing him back to life when the object is struck by lightning.
