Today In Horror History

April 19, 1946
On this day in Horror History, Timothy James Curry was born. A cult icon, Curry is the genius behind some of popular culture’s most beloved characters. Early in his career, Curry would bless many theater productions, ultimately moving onto television and in 1975 giving us the role that would be a staple of one the most cherished films in cinematic history. As Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Curry would captivate the world with his multitude of talent. From his musical ability and acting presence to his sheer comedic timing, Curry would begin an acting resume that has surmounted more than 200 Films and Television shows. Behind such characters as Pennywise in Stephen Kings IT (1990), Darkness in Legend (1985), Wadsworth in Clue (1985) and many of other timeless roles, Tim Curry is a gift to most every genre of film, a living legend that we have grown to love.
